Police Search For Armed Robber

  • Dark-skinned white or Hispanic male
  • 25 years old
  • 6-foot-1, stocky build
  • Dressed in all black, including black stocking cap, gloves and scarf wrapped around face
  • Robbery occurred at 6:13 p.m. Thursday on Edison Ave., near Platte and Murray

Thursday night, Colorado Springs police were called to the Family Dollar near Platte and Murray for a robbery.

According to store employees, a man came in around 6:15 p.m. wearing all black with his face mostly covered, carrying a gun. He demanded cash.

A store employee tells 11 News he didn't get away with much.

A K-9 unit searched the surrounding area, but the man was never discovered.

He's described as a dark-skinned white or Hispanic man, around 25 years old, about 6-foot-1 with a stocky build.

Police believe he was working alone and got away on foot.
