A man was arrested after reportedly firing shots outside of his home in a Colorado Springs neighborhood.
William Christopher White, 31, also reportedly fired dozens of shots at a police robot. Police used flash-bangs and a police dog to go in and get him.
Police say they did not fire any shots at the suspect because he did not fire at officers.
White did, however, walk out of the home holding a weapon, according to police. That's when a police dog took him down.
He was arrested just after 11:30 a.m.
The situation started around 8:00 a.m. when the man allegedly walked out of his home on Wahsatch and Dale, fired a gun, and then went back inside.
Police blocked off the area and nearby schools went on lock-down as a precaution. Residents in a one-block radius were also told to stay inside during the incident.
White faces charges of attempted first degree murder and illegal discharge of a weapon. A judge said Tuesday that White has no priors.
