Snow is expected to develop for our Monday afternoon and overnight hours. Bands of heavier snow are possible..and something we will be monitoring throughout the day today. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for far northern El Paso County where ~4" are possible by Tuesday morning. Also ahead, a High Wind Watch for much of southeast Colorado from 4-11am Tuesday morning as wind gusts could reach up to 60 mph. Colorado Springs police are on the lookout for a man who held up a convenience store early Sunday morning.
According to police, the man walked into the 7-Eleven at 3740 Randall Drive, near Woodmen Road and Rangewood Drive, shortly after 1 a.m. He held a semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and demanded money. After receiving an unknown amount of cash, the man ran out of the store and was last seen heading north on Rangewood.
Police say that is where they lost his trail and believe he may have had a vehicle waiting for him north of the store.
The robber is described as a black man in his 20s, 5-foot-7 with a thin build. He was wearing a brown or black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
