A man is facing charges after he allegedly punched a Colorado Springs police officer, claiming the officer was the Devil.
The trouble apparently started when Charles Cline was reportedly seen standing in the middle of the intersection at East San Miguel and North Nevada screaming about demons and robots.
The responding officers quickly requested the assistance of a supervisor after Cline allegedly started accusing them of being demons, "half breeds" and not human.
Police say when the supervisor arrived at the scene, Cline punched him and accused him of being the Devil.
Cline was taken to the hospital; he will be booked into the county jail when he is released.
The officer who was punched was not seriously injured.
The incident happened just before 9:20 p.m. Friday.
