Man Accused Of Texting Teen For Sex Appears Before Judge

Kevin Gaylor

Police say a student at Doherty High School got text messages from someone she didn't know soliciting her for sex. She contacted her school resource officer at Doherty High School.

Officers then posed as the student and told the text messager to meet them at a nearby convenience store. Police showed up and said they arrested 27-year-old Kevin James Gaylor.

He's now being charged with attempted sexual exploitation of a child, attempted sexual assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Gaylor made his first appearance in court via video Thursday, and will make his first physical appearance before a judge next week.

We are currently working to get his arrest affidavit.
