A woman who allegedly said she was the victim of a kidnapping is now the one in jail.

Police received more than one report about a possible kidnapping at the Walmart on Platte and Chelton in Colorado Springs Monday night.

Police spent hours trying to determine if the kidnapping actually took place. After interviewing the "victim," police say she made up the story.

Police say she won't be charged with false reporting because other bystanders also called in the possible kidnapping--but due to several outstanding warrants, she was still taken into custody.

The woman's name has not been released.
