Police are investigating a possible attempted luring incident that happened on East San Miguel Road near Academy.

It happened outside Winslow Court, an assisted living home.

An employee there tells 11 News two girls were playing outside with a basketball while visiting their great-grandmother at Winslow Court, an assisted living home.

Reportedly the man, who was already parked in a van, asked the the girls to help him find a puppy.

We're told the girls said "no" and ran inside and told the receptionist, who called police.

The employee says a maintenance man tried to talk to the suspect and asked him to leave. He told the employee he was helping somebody move in, then moved his car over to that apartment.

Employees say that police took the suspect's information and put it in the system, but did not make an arrest. We are still working to confirm that information with police.

Police investigated the man to determine his intent. He’s described as a white man in his 30s with black hair. He was driving a silver or blue Chevy Lumina. He was also wearing a U-haul baseball cap.
