Another round of snow will move through after midnight. This will add light and fluffy snow on top of the already icy roads. Colorado Springs police are investigating a fatal single-car rollover accident on Highway 115 Sunday morning.
Police closed Highway 115 between Cheyenne Mountain Road and Star Ranch Road while the Major Accident Unit investigated the crash.
The highway was reopened shortly after 4:30 a.m.
Police say a light colored 2-door Saturn was heading southbound on Highway 115 around 1 a.m. when it ran off the road into the median and rolled.
The driver was ejected in the rollover and died at the scene. There was no one else in the car. The driver’s identity has not been released.
