Police are on the lookout for a bike, stolen from an autistic girl in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police say that Friday morning anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 a.m., the bike was stolen from an apartment on North Murray Boulevard. The mother, Barbara Gould, reported the bike stolen.

Gould says that her 15-year-old Cecilia, who is autistic, loved this bike as it was her means of independence. She told police the blue, 10-speed bike was donated to Cecilia by the Bob Telmosse Foundation last Christmas and that it was very important to her daughter.

She went on to say that the bike was locked in the bike rack of their apartment complex and someone stole both the bike and the lock.
