A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. A drunk woman fired her rifle several times at a parked vehicle, leading to her arrest, according to police.
Police say 26-year-old Coralyn Thompson was angry that a Nissan Pathfinder was blocking her driveway on the 1100 block of Magnolia Street in Colorado Springs, and began shooting at it with a .22 caliber rifle. Police were called to the scene around 8:15 p.m.
Thompson was arrested on charges of felony criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, and prohibited use of a weapon.
