After accepting a ride from what she thought were Good Samaritans, a Pueblo woman tells police she was robbed.

The police investigation later revealed that the suspects likely set the woman up--slashing her tires and then following her from the parking lot under the pretense of wanting to assist when the woman found herself stranded.

According to police, the victim noticed a dark green early 2000s model Oldsmobile or Buick following her from the Albertsons on South Prairie in Pueblo. Shortly thereafter, she realized she had a flat tire and pulled over on the 1700 block of South Prairie. The car that had been following her pulled up beside her, and the couple inside offered her a ride.

As they dropped her off, the couple stole the victim's purse, then immediately headed for a Loaf n Jug on Lake Avenue, where they withdrew cash using the victim's ATM card.

Police now say the tire had been slashed while the woman was shopping at Albertsons.

The first suspect has been described as a Hispanic woman in her late 20s or early 30s, about 5-foot-3 with black hair, wearing a black hoodie. The second suspect was a Hispanic man in his early 20s, 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds with short, dark hair.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-STOP.
