A burglary suspect could face other charges after police say he was caught driving a stolen vehicle.
At 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, two officers were on their way to a burglary call when they spotted the suspect vehicle in the area of East Boulder and Pitkin Street in Colorado Springs. After running the license plate, the officers realized the vehicle had been reported stolen out of El Paso County.
Police pulled the driver over and arrested him for driving the stolen car.
After investigating the vehicle, police found meth and a driver's license inside. The license did not belong to the suspect; police say the suspect's license was revoked for an alcohol conviction.
The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old James Beltz. He was booked into the CJC, though jail records indicate he may have bonded out.
