A Springs man faces second-degree assault charges after police say he knocked the victim to the ground, then kicked him in the head.
Lewis Cox, 27, was arrested Monday evening. The victim is currently in critical condition.
Police say Cox punched the victim, knocking him to the ground, then kicked him. Authorities were called to the 1800 block of Zebulon Drive, near South Academy and Chelton, at 6:45 p.m. on reports of the assault. Cox was taken into custody following the investigation.
