Police officers and SWAT both responded.
Police tell 11 News the situation started early Wednesday morning after officers were called to a neighborhood near Chelton and Astrozon on a shots-fired call. Officers learned a man was shooting at a house in that neighborhood. When police obtained a warrant, the man barricaded himself in a house in the neighborhood.
The home is located on Endicott, which is near Panorama Middle School and Bricker Elementary School. District 2 tells us they are coordinated with police, and were able to get a safe route for students to access their schools while the situation was ongoing. Since the situation has been resolved, schools will operate as usual, the district says.
Authorities took one person into custody just after 7 a.m.
