Several stolen items from Teller County were recovered at a home in Colorado Springs thanks to the joint efforts of the Teller County Sheriff's Office and Colorado Springs Police Department.
Springs police assisted Teller County deputies on a search warrant execution Wednesday afternoon after the sheriff's office received information leading them to a home east of downtown Colorado Springs.
The warrant execution was part of an ongoing investigation into several burglaries in Teller County. The sheriff's office says the burglaries were in Divide and parts of Woodland Park that fall under county jurisdiction.
Police and deputies combed through a home on the 2400 block of Monument Street for several hours Wednesday, and recovered a number of stolen items, including coins and firearms.
The sheriff's office also arrested Harold McKean, 50, of Colorado Springs on Wednesday. A second man was arrested prior to Wednesday's warrant execution.
The recovered items are being documented and owners are being contacted. The case is still under investigation.
