Second Suspect Arrested In Murder Investigation

Colorado Springs police say they have arrested a second suspect in the murder investigation of William Walsh.

Walsh's body was found Monday behind the Walgreens on Academy and Chelton. He had been shot to death.

Police say a 16-year-old male was arrested at 9 p.m. June 27 on the 3900 block of Harmony Drive in Colorado Springs. He is being charged with first degree murder. His name and photo are not being released.

This came a few hours after the arrest of 26-year-old Otto Pobanz III, an acquaintance of Walsh's. Pobanz has been charged with first-degree murder.

Walsh's family says they are feeling an enormous sense of relief now that there has been an arrest in the case.

"Let the judicial system take their course now...Billy didn't deserve it. Didn't deserve it. I hope he gets what he has coming to him," Walsh's cousin Anthony Ramsey said in reaction to Pobanz's arrest.

Walsh's family has planned a car wash in his memory. It will be held Saturday between 10 and 11 a.m. at the Popeyes Chicken on Academy and Pikes Peak. They will be accepting donations for his immediate family.

Records show that Pobanz is in custody at the CJC. We are working to learn when he'll make his first court appearance.
