Engine problems are what likely caused a jet to slide off a runway at the Pueblo airport during take-off Thursday night.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing, but a preliminary report by the Federal Aviation Administration was made available Saturday.
The Learjet made it two-thirds of the way down the runway before sliding off. Though taking off in bad weather, the FAA report indicates weather conditions were probably not a factor.
The eight passengers and two flight crew on board at the time were uninjured, though the crash did cause significant damage to the aircraft.
11 News has learned the jet was owned by CSU-Pueblo football donor Dan DeRose. The DeRose family was flying to Las Vegas at the time of the crash.
