A downed aircraft was found in a small field in Adams County Saturday morning.
Both people on board the small plane were dead.
Sister station KCNC tells us that the pilot and passenger were reported missing at 3:45 a.m. The plane was found near the Front Range Airport about three hours later. The bodies were found with the wreckage.
Authorities say that the plane took off from the Front Range Airport, but because the pilot didn't file a flight plan, it's unknown when the plane took off.
The FAA is investigating.
