One person is dead after a small plane crashed at Great Sand Dunes National Preserve Saturday. That man has been identified as Richard Cutter. Two others were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition as of Sunday night.
The crash happened near Medano Pass. The crash was reported at 11:10 a.m. Saturday.
The names of the two survivors have not been released.
The crash is currently under investigation by the National Park Service and the National Transportation Safety Board.
The Medano Pass Primitive Road will remain closed during the investigation. All other areas of the park and preserve are still open.
