Police say they have the man responsible for a string of burglaries in southern Colorado.
Police say Fabian Ramos used his job as a painting subcontractor to gain entry into homes, where he would steal appliances, credit cars and checks from his alleged victims.
Colorado Springs police say most of the thefts happened in homes along the Powers corridor. One alleged victim was in Black Forest.
Many of the homes were new construction, and the owners were getting ready to move in. Other victims reportedly hired the suspect to paint their homes.
Officers began investigating the burglaries in early February. They announced Ramos' arrest Tuesday.
Police say they are also looking for Rafael Rodriguez, who they are calling a person of interest. Rodriguez is already wanted on other probation warrants.
