Police have made an arrest in a shooting over the weekend.
The shooting happened just after 6:35 p.m. Saturday on the 2500 block of Cather Ave. in Colorado Springs. The area is near Astrozon and South Academy.
The victim was taken to the hospital with what police describe as non-life threatening injuries.
Police later arrested Cody Hurst, 27, on charges of first-degree assault. They say there are no other suspects.
A woman at the scene told KKTV 11 News that the victim was fighting over a gun with some people he was staying with when he was shot in the stomach. The woman, who said she is the victims' cousin, said he is in critical condition. Police have not confirmed the woman's story.
