As rain and snow pulls away from the I-25 Corridor this morning, our main concern is fog, which could be dense in spots through the morning commute. Roads are of lesser concern, as most should simply be wet. However, secondary roads and any bridges and overpasses away from city warmth could be a bit slick, so please be careful. DENVER (AP) -- A man accused of hitting an off-duty officer outside a Pepsi Center concert with his car and then leading police on a chase has been arrested.
Jeremy Irey,25, allegedly fled the scene after hitting the officer Saturday night. He was arrested at the intersection of Interstate 25 and Interstate 70 after a brief chase.
The Denver Post reports the man's car had been pulled over by police on I-25 but the driver took off again, leading police on a chase until the vehicle crashed into other cars.
The officer, who was working security at the concert, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Irey faces charges of assault and felony vehicular eluding.
