Several nut butters are being pulled from the shelves due to the possibility of Salmonella contamination.
The FDA announced the recall Tuesday. Items affected are peanut and almond butters from nSpired Natural Foods, and is sold under several brand names at Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Kroger stores and Safeway. (A full list of brand names can be found in a link on the side of this page.)
The FDA says nSpired decided to voluntarily recall the items after routine testing by the FDA revealed a possible contamination risk. Four people have reported falling ill after eating the products, though the FDA says the association is not confirmed.
