More jobs are coming to southern Colorado for anyone interested in financial planning positions.
Northwestern Mutual in Colorado Springs is hiring 35 financial representatives. Twenty of the positions will be paid internships.
The managing director of the local office, Kevin Kaveney, told 11 News the positions are perfect for someone who thinks they've reached the ceiling in their current occupation and want an opportunity to grow.
"We also find former military officers tend to do well," Kaveney said. "I think that helping people protect their families and businesses and to help them achieve their dreams of comprehensive financial security is in line with some of the values and nobility they felt serving our country."
Northwestern Mutual says recent research shows 64 percent of Americans believe their overall financial planning needs improvement and half have no plan in place. For more information about applying for the jobs click here.
