New Hip Learning Center Unveiled at Pueblo Community College

With the ceremonial cutting of a ribbon, Pueblo Community College unveiled their new learning center. The modern center cost $4 million and is aimed at enhancing student success.

The center students are calling ‘modern’ and ‘hip’ offers them the tools they need in order to make the most of school.

Students can use the computers, printers, or classrooms. They can check out one of the 75 laptops or visit the cyber café. There is areas for quiet study or open study, and an electronic bulletin board.

One of the most beneficial features is that students there can receive free tutoring either in groups or individually.

“They have the opportunity to come in here and get the tutoring that they need to better their selves in class, whether it’s math, English, or even the IT part of it. They also have science tutoring,” said student Vicki Segura.

The 10,000 square foot facility is triple the size of the old center and is complete with enhanced technology and “groovy” work stations. It is located in the basement of the Mike Davis Academic building at Pueblo Community College.
