Overnight a disturbance passes through parts of S Colorado... this will bring a push of moisture falling as rain in the Plains with a few late night/early morning showers possible in Pueblo. For the Palmer Divide, N & W El Paso Co. and Teller Co. it will fall as snow... bringing a few additional inches of accumulation in mainly between 1am and 6am, lingering into the mid morning. Dozens of new laws go into effect in Colorado today including stricter sentencing guidelines for sex offenses against children, big funding for medical marijuana studies, and the introduction of the strict fines for so-called revenge porn crimes.
Posting intimate pictures or videos of someone online without their consent is now a misdemeanor and will carry a fine of at least $10,000.
Other laws taking effect July 1 include a requirement to release data to parents regarding student vaccination rates at schools, and stricter sentencing guidelines for sexual offenses against children under 12.
Another new law allocates $10 million in excess medical marijuana fees to study the health effects of the drug.
