New Evidence in Accused Kitten Killer Case

By  |

Defense attorneys for a man accused of torturing and killing a kitten say they have new evidence in the case.

The attorneys filed a motion for that new evidence Monday in court. KKTV 11 News is working to get more information about what the new evidence includes.

In addition to allegedly strangling 12-week-old Loki, authorities say suspect Robert Heckmann filmed the whole thing, then sent out text messages boasting about what he had done.

A few months ago, a motion to limit pre-trial publicity was filed. We've learned the motions won't be released at this time.

There is another motions hearing and pre-trial conference scheduled for May 19. Heckmann's trail is still set for June.
