AT&T and Power River Development want to build a new cell tower in Black Forest Regional Park. The El Paso County park service is asking residents to weigh in on the idea.
They will be holding a community meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at the park's equestrian parking lot on Milam Road. That is just north of Shoup Rd.
The tower would be located on the southwest corner of the park and be disguised as a 50-foot tall pine tree. Attendees at the meeting will be able to see the exact site where the proposed tower would go.
Representatives from Power River Development and El Paso County parks service will also be in attendance to answer questions from the community.
