A motorcyclist missed a curve in the road and crashed into a guardrail while riding on Coal Creek Drive late Saturday morning.
The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says the rider was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.
No one saw the accident, but the 26-year-old victim was later found by a passing motorist. The victim has been identified as Thomas James Dale.
The sheriff's office says they do not suspect alcohol involvement in the crash.
Coal Creek Drive is located in Coal Creek, by Florence.
