Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. Police are investigating an accident that seriously injured a motorcycle rider.
Pueblo police say 27-year-old Joseph Bonetta was traveling southwest on Lincoln Ave. at Orman Ave. when he hit a Suzuki sedan crossing the intersection.
The driver of the sedan has been identified as 71-year-old Cecilia Guerrero. Police say she was traveling southeast on Orman when she stopped at a flashing red signal. The accident happened as she crossed Lincoln.
Bonetta suffered serious injuries when he was thrown from the motorcycle. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
Police are still investigating, but say they believe speed was a factor in the crash.
