A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. A motorcyclist was heading north on Academy late Friday night when he bumped up against a curb and lost control of his bike.
Police say he was thrown from his motorcycle.
The crash happened at 10:33 p.m. Friday on the 600 block of South Academy in Colorado Springs. There were no other vehicles involved.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. There's been no further update on his condition as of Saturday morning.
