11 News has been digging through the arrest papers of Jeffrey Brosh so all of us can understand why this man is classified as a sexually violent predator.

A meeting will be held so Ute Pass area residents can be made aware of Brosh’s past conviction Thursday night.

39-year-old Brosh was convicted of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy after him alcohol back in 2006. That boy lived on his street in Colorado Springs.

Brosh spent four years in prison and is now living in the 9000 block of Canyon Drive in Woodland Park.

According to court papers, the young boy went to Brosh’s house to watch movies with Brosh's 7 year old son and another friend.

Brosh asked the child’s dad if he could spend the night.

The father said no, only to go over to Brosh’s house an hour later to find his son highly intoxicated.

Papers say that the boy then told his father Brosh sexually assaulted him that day and two days before.

Both times the victims says Brosh gave him alcohol; once getting drunk to the point of throwing up.

Brosh at first denied the allegations to investigators but eventually plead guilty to a charge of Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust. He was sentenced to the Department of Corrections in 2008.

He tried to appeal the classification of sexually violent predator back in 2010 but his appeal was denied.

A meeting will be held on September 27 at 7 p.m. so Ute Pass area residents can be made aware of Brosh’s past conviction. It will be at the temporary Green Mountain Falls Town hall, located at 10605 Green Mountain Falls Road.

Brosh was released from prison on September 24.
