Friends of liquor store robbery suspect Mauricio Collins convinced him to surrender and confess the crime, police say.
Collins, 21, turned himself in Wednesday night, just a few hours after the armed robbery of the liquor store at 1740 Shasta Dr. Another person stayed outside during the crime, police say.
Collins, armed with a handgun, allegedly ordered the clerk to hand over some cash. Once they did, both suspects fled north. A K-9 track led police to an area where they believe the pair got into a car.
There is no description available for the suspect who remained outside.
