Light to moderate snow showers continue this Wednesday morning with cold temperatures to start the day. Roads are *very* icy and snow packed throughout southeast Colorado... so please allow extra time for the morning drive. Throughout the midday and afternoon, we'll keep the chance of some light, fine snow showers, but expecting minor accumulations through the day. Snow looks to finally push out this evening/overnight and our warm up begins. Head over to the "Weather' tab for a full look at the forecast.
Investigators say a medical condition may be to blame for an accident that left one man dead Wednesday morning.
State Patrol says the driver drifted into the median, hit a divider, spun into the oncoming lanes of traffic and off the side of the road before sliding down an embankment.
The accident happened at 6:35 a.m. on Highway 285, five miles north of Conifer.
The driver's name has not been released, pending the notification of the family.
Investigators say speed, alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in the crash.
