Power Restored After Widespread Outage In Black Forest, Monument

Power has been restored to hundreds of customers at the north end of El Paso County.

Power has been restored to hundreds of customers at the north end of El Paso County.

Customers living east of I-25 in the Black Forest and Monument areas reported being without power as early as 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. Mountain View Electric got all customers restored by 6:45 a.m.

At this time, a cause has not been determined. At its height, the electric company is reporting as many as 1,788 customers in El Paso County and south Douglas County were without power.
