Colorado Springs police arrested a man after a victim said he sexually assaulted her during a massage appointment.
Shannon Atkinson was arrested Tuesday. Police say a victim had scheduled a massage on Jan. 26 at the Springs Best Massage at 5527 N. Union Blvd. suite #200.
According to court papers obtained by 11 News, the 24-year-old alleged victim is from Denver. She was visiting Colorado Springs and made an appointment with Atkinson for a massage.
Court papers show that during the massage Atkinson reportedly started kissing and touching the woman inappropriately. She told police that she was frozen in fear and didn't say anything. She paid for the massage and left.
Detectives interviewed Atkinson at his business, and he reportedly admitted to what happened.
Police believe there could be other victims. If you are a victim or know somebody who is a victim call Detective Donny Baca at 719-482-7145.
