We're learning more about the school bus accident that closed Marksheffel near Fontaine. That road is back open at this hour.

A car lost control in front of the bus. That's what reportedly caused the accident.

There were six junior high school students on the bus at the time. One was treated for a minor injury.

All 6 students attend Janitell Junior High and are now in class.

Many parents have expressed concern that there was no delay called for the district.

KKTV 11 News talked with Widefield School District 3 spokesperson James Drew about the process of the calling a delay or closure because of the weather.

"We have to make a call by 5:30am. That's when the buses get rolling. The roads weren't bad then. But things got worse," said Drew.

The driver of the vehicle that lost control was not hurt. No word if there will be any charges against the driver.

Marksheffel is back open and running normally again.
