The University of Denver will host a debate Wednesday about the legalization of marijuana.

Former Republican Senate candidate Ken Buck will be there to argue against legalization.

Colorado is one of three states that will consider ballot measures this fall to legalize marijuana without a doctor’s recommendation.

Supporters of the measure say the drug should be regulated like alcohol and taxed with the money going to fund school construction projects.

Opponents say the pot measure would likely increase teen drug use and wouldn’t raise that much money.

Colorado is one of 16 states already defying federal laws by allowing people with certain medical conditions to legally use the drug.
