Investigators do not believe the death of an 18-year-old is suspicious.

The CSPD Major Crimes Unit was initially called to an apartment on Potter Drive, near Mitchell High School, after the teenage male was found dead. But authorities say that based on the investigation, there does not appear to be foul play involved.

The teen was found around 9 a.m. Responding officers were told by the caller that the teen was not breathing. He was declared deceased after police arrived at the apartment.

Springs police say that unless the autopsy uncovers something to warrant it, a criminal investigation will not take place.
