Some areas picked up several inches of snow through the day and, while additional snowfall is not expected to continue, snow packed and wet roadways will freeze overnight as temperatures drop into the teens. Bundle up and take it slow as you head out on the roads. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
An argument between two men ended with one in custody and one in the hospital.
Police say 21-year-old Ray Rodriguez pulled out a knife during the argument and stabbed 47-year-old Tracy Thompson multiple times. The men knew each other; investigators say one was the current boyfriend and the other the former boyfriend of the same woman.
The incident happened just before noon Tuesday on the 1600 block of South Prairie Avenue, not far from Northern Avenue.
Despite multiple stab wounds, Thompson was conscious and alert when officers arrived on scene. He was transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
Rodriguez was taken in for questioning, but has not been charged at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
