A Springs officer was patrolling an area in town prone to vehicle break-ins and vehicle thefts when a man caught his eye.
Despite the late hour--11:36 p.m.--the man was still out walking around the area of 1409 North Academy.
The man allegedly took off running when the officer tried to talk to him. The officer ran after him and called for backup.
The suspect was caught within a minute of the foot chase. Police say at one point, the suspect ran straight into a police cruiser, causing a small dent to the front end of the vehicle.
Anthony Plebani was arrested on drug charges, as well as for resisting.
