Man Robbed In Front Of Skating Center

A man was waiting for his girlfriend outside a Springs ice skating rink when a person approached him asking to use his phone.

After making several calls, the person suddenly pulled out a gun and demanded the victim hand over anything else of value.

The victim told him he had nothing else valuable on him, so the suspect took off. The victim was unharmed.

Police say the incident happened just after 10 p.m. Tuesday in front of the Sertich Ice Center in Memorial Park. The suspect has been described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, medium build, hair styled in a short afro. He was reportedly wearing dark clothing. The suspect left the scene in a blue mid-90s Chevrolet Cavalier.
