After accepting a ride from a Springs bar, a man told police he was robbed at gunpoint.
The incident happened just after 2:20 a.m. Tuesday.
According to police, the victim had been at Kelly O'Brians at 239 N. Academy when he was "coaxed" into a vehicle by three suspects. The victim told police he was driven almost three miles away, then the driver pulled out a gun and demanded all his money. The victim said he gave what he had to the driver, then he was let out of the vehicle and the suspects drove away. The driver reportedly fired four shots in the air as they sped away.
The vehicle was last seen leaving the 2100 block of North Academy, where the crime took place.
The driver is described as a black man, unknown age, dressed in red clothes. He reportedly had dreadlocks. If you have any information on the suspect, call Springs police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
