Man, Seeing-Eye Dog Fine After Being Hit By SUV

A man and his seeing-eye dog were hit by a SUV Wednesday morning.

The accident happened at Pikes Peak and Union in Colorado Springs.

Police say that the pedestrian is visually impaired, and was accompanied by his dog as he walked down Pikes Peak. The SUV hit the pedestrian while making a left turn onto Union. The man was hit by the SUV mirror, and is not believed to have sustained anything more than very minor injuries. He was transported to the hospital as a courtesy.

The dog was uninjured.

An investigation is still ongoing. It is unknown if anyone will be cited.
