After days on the run, police say they have captured a suspect wanted in two counties.
Authorities have been looking for 26-year-old Justin Coalson since January 3, when he and 28-year-old Ashley Steele were allegedly found in a stolen car along Dream Lane near Academy and North Carefree in Colorado Springs.
Police arrested Steele, but said Coalson got out and ran.
Tuesday morning, Fountain police said they spotted Coalson driving a stolen vehicle on Fountain Mesa Road. When they tried to contact him at a nearby Lowe's parking lot, Coalson reportedly tried running away. Police chased after him, and said they caught Coalson a short time later trying to break into a home.
Coalson was wanted for a number of warrants in El Paso County including: escape, criminal trespass in a vehicle and theft. He also has warrants in Pueblo county, one of which is for aggravated motor vehicle theft.
He is now facing new charges for possession of stolen vehicle, attempted burglary, criminal trespass, obstructing or resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of a financial transaction device.
