A man accused of kidnapping has been arrested in a Colorado mountain town.
42-year-old Timothy Vigil was wanted out of Colorado Springs, on a felony kidnapping charge. He was arrested Friday, just west of Colorado Springs, in Divide.
According to the Teller County Sheriff's Department, the FBI reached out to the Sheriff's department, asking for assistance to arrest Vigil. Authorities gathered information from citizens in the community and obtained an warrant to arrest Vigil, who was hiding out at a house in Divide.
Friday night, the Teller County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team surrounded the house that Vigil was hiding in and got him to surrender.
He was transported to the Teller County Jail and then transferred to the El Paso County, where he'll respond to the kidnapping charge against him.
