Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing From Fire Truck

A man has been arrested for allegedly stealing out of a fire truck during a medical call Friday afternoon.

Police say the suspect was seen climbing into the cab of a fire engine and grabbing items out of it. Firefighters were on a medical call at the Crossland Economy Studios on Afternoon Circle near Fountain and Chelton in Colorado Springs.

Responding officers briefly chased after the suspect, and were reportedly forced to tase him in order to detain him.

The suspect has been identified as Robert Monteil, 32. He was taken to the CJC after his arrest.
