A Pueblo County man is now in custody after allegedly threatening to "go postal" at the county courthouse Thursday morning.
Authorities say the suspect walked into the courthouse at 11 a.m. and began threatening to shoot up the place, stating at one point that he was "going to go postal."
Pueblo County deputies and Pueblo police officers responded, but he left the scene prior to his arrival. A sheriff's office spokesperson says he left without harming anyone. Parts of the courthouse were closed briefly.
Deputies determined who the suspect was, and arrested him at his home an hour after the incident. He has been identified as Stephen Sims (note: the sheriff's office spokesperson is still working to confirm the spelling) and faces charges of obstruction of official government building.
