Man Accused of Kicking Police Officer

A man is facing charges after he allegedly kicked a police officer.

The incident happened early Monday morning when police responded to reports that a man was throwing rocks at passing vehicles at Barnes Rd. and Oro Blanco Dr. in Colorado Springs.

Officers say while they were on the way, they received another call that a man way lying in the road in that same area.

Zachary Fay allegedly kicked an officer several times when police arrived at the scene. He's suspected of being under the influence of drugs.

Fay was taken to the hospital. He is facing charges of assault on a peace officer.
