A local business owner is accused of stealing--and in some cases, selling--his customer's belongings.
Springs police say Jerald Dougherty is the owner of Colorado Furniture Restoration.
He allegedly picked up furniture and down payments, but never completed the work or returned the items to the customers. In some cases police say he sold the furniture he was paid to restore.
The crimes allegedly took place over the past two years.
Police say they have recovered some of the furniture from a storage unit and returned it to the owners. The restoration work had not been done in those cases.
Dougherty is accused of felony theft.
Colorado Springs police say there may be other victims. They are asked to call police at 444-3121.
